Hall Analytical is delighted to be participating in the CORESTA Smoke-Techno conference which will be held virtually in a series of “live” sessions between the 18th and 28th of October. CORESTA is an association founded in 1956, with the purpose of promoting international cooperation for scientific research into tobacco and related products. The conference is an opportunity for tobacco and reduced-risk product (RRP) stakeholders to present their latest work in a diverse array of fields such as nicotine science, analytical methods, product chemistry and toxicology.
As a sector-leading analytical service provider to the RRP industry, we’re excited to be presenting some of our latest work in the field of Heated Tobacco Products (HTPs). In the absence of combustion, the electronic device heats specially manufactured tobacco sticks to produce an aerosol with significantly lower average levels of harmful and potentially harmful constituents (HPHCs) compared to cigarette smoke. Dr Pete Gibbons, Head of Reduced-Risk Product Analysis, will be presenting our latest HTP method for the analysis of Tobacco-Specific Nitrosamines (TSNA’s) using Liquid Chromatography-Tandem mass spectrometry. Pete will discuss our approach to method development for the analysis of TSNA’s and present data acquired in our laboratories from the testing of a commercially available Heated Tobacco Product.
We hope you’ll be able to join us “virtually” at this conference, which is sure to include many insightful technical presentations. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions on Heated Tobacco Product analysis, or if you’d like a consultation on how Hall Analytical can support your businesses requirements in this emerging harm reduction product category.
